Update: Just Jeepin’ found it.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Looking to generate a drawing of a city map, 2D B&W. I remember seeing an article about it on a Gawker site (Jalopnik?) about a free website that would generate a very detailed image of an map area for you. Something similar to this. Any one remember the link to it? Worst case I will find an some like what I want on etsy or something but I was hoping to be able to make my own.

Real city or generated?
For generated, these are two I found via HackerNews: https://maps.probabletrain.com/#/ and http://oskarstalberg.com/game/CityGenerator/

I remember what you are talking about and remember it being very good but I can't recall the name or even the author of the post.

He’s where I live. It’s no London, but the river takes a bit of similar path:
Does look like they are rendering pedestrian paths, which is a bit weird, and I’m not sure why some streets are triple thick.
